Correna Ness (aka Cory) began her journey as a Religious Educator in 2006 and joined us at the UUCSV in 2013. Her journey as a Unitarian Universalist begun in the early 1990’s when she found a religious home to raise her children at a Unitarian Universalist congregation. There she discovered the UU Principles, which aligned with her own life philosophies.
Cory’s love and passion for Unitarian Universalism can be seen every Sunday and in the many credentials she has acquired over the years. In 2012 she became a Credentialed Religious Educator, completing all ten of the Renaissance Modules. Since that time she has completed Our Whole Lives Training (a comprehensive sexuality program) for Kindergarten through the twelfth grades, Spirit Play (a Montessori approach) Pastoral Care, Creating Healthy Congregations, Anti-Racism Training, Interim DRE Training and much, much more.
For self-care, Cory loves creating fiber art including quilts, needle felting, and crochet. She also enjoys spending time with her husband of over thirty years, Daryl Ness and their two adult daughters Alisha and Ashley.

Sheryl Wilhide joined UUCSV as the Church Administrator in February 2016 after working over 20 years for government consulting firms as a Project Administrator, Executive Secretary and Conf
erence Manager. Sheryl provides administrative support for the Minister, Board, Committees Chairs, Choir Director, Pianist, Bookkeep
er and Congregation.
Sheryl grew up in Youngstown, Ohio where she met her husband, Curt. They have been married for forty-one years. Her husband is a retired Army officer, so she and her family have been very fortunate to live in many states and also Germany. She has lived in Virginia since 1994. Her eldest son, Brian went to Lincoln Technical Institute and is a certified HVAC Technician. Her youngest son, Keith, graduated from Shenandoah University with an M.B.A. She has a granddaughter, Kelsie, who is the light of her life.
Sheryl enjoys baking, reading, gardening, and spending time with her granddaughter.
Pamela Keim grew up singing duets and trios with her sisters in church and began studying voice while attending Swarthmore College. Over the last 30 years, Pam has performed as a soloist and in ensembles both large and small, and has also directed adult and children’s church choirs. Pam has sung soprano with Winchester Musica Viva since 1997 and also is a founding member of VocalPoint, a women’s a cappella quartet that performs music of all styles. She is certified in Somatic Voicework ™ The Lovetri Method, Level I, and holds a master’s degree from the University of Virginia. In addition to directing the Chalice Singers, Pam frequently works as a substitute music teacher in local schools.
The Chalice Singers is a group of dedicated musicians who enhance our worship services with their talents. The choir rehearses weekly on Thursday evenings from7pm-9pm and generally sings at two services each month from September through May. All singers high school age and older are welcome to join us to experience the joys of making music together and developing lasting friendships.
