“Music of the Heart”

The Rev. Howard Thurman, speaking of the spirit of Christmas, famously exhorts us to “Make music in the heart.”
But How? How do we reach our hearts in this era of great distractions?
In this service we will not try to answer this question directly. We will not search using thoughts and words. We will turn instead to music. Let us trust the ability of melody and song — from spirituals, both Black and White, to Schubert — to lead us along that elusive path… to the heart.
