Rev. Adam Dyer

How is spiritual life informed by leadership?

Rev. Adam Lawrence Dyer studies equity and embodiment in the Religious Studies PhD program at the University of Virginia. He is an ordained minister and was a chaplain at Harvard University and the lead minister at First Parish in Cambridge, Unitarian Universalist.  He is the author of Love Beyond God (2016) and maintains his own blog, Spirituwellness.org.  In 2021, he contributed to the Harvard Kennedy School LGBTQ Policy Journal (2021) with “Religious Equity: A Path to Greater LGBTQ Inclusion”.  Rev. Dyer has worked with The Alliance for Boys and Men of Color (Oakland, CA), My Brother’s Keeper (Cambridge, MA) and PICO Networks with a focus toward equity, gender and sexuality.  Rev. Dyer received his B.A. from Princeton University and his M.Div. from the Pacific School of Religion where he earned the Certificate in Sexuality and Religion and was recognized with the Paul Wesley Yinger Preaching Award.
